Kevin Burton is one of Britain's leading

jewellery craftsmen and has had many

pieces selected for major jewellery

collections, including De Beer's own

diamond collection.

In the late 1960's Kevin undertook a

very traditional 6 year apprenticeship

where he was taught all the skills and

disciplines of this very ancient craft.

Later, Kevin became the workshop

manager for a very well known local

chain of Jewellers in the NW of England,

before he left to start up Orisis Design

with Sue.

Sue Budden began her career in jewellery

in the late 70's as the Head Office Manager

for an upmarket chain of Jewellers.

There she discovered she had a talent for

realising her client's vision for their piece

of jewellery into a practical and elegant design.  

Having met Kevin, Sue realised that his

superb skill as a craftsman combined with

her intuitive, feminine grasp of design made

for an unbeatable business partnership.
